I still remember when I was a kid. I played hide and seek, police and thieves, mocking adventures, 'masak-masak' and many other things that sometimes makes me wanna cry by just remembering them. Sometimes I felt sorry for those kids who lives nowadays; who no longer playing all those things that I used to play when I was little. All things that they actually do nowadays was just playing video games, sitting and surfing the internet and many other unproductive activities. I'm just afraid when they grown up, they got nothing to remember about their childhood except about watching television programmes and surfing things on the internet. It will makes they actually don't have any beautiful childhood memories to remember about. I'm not blaming the technology, it's just... yeah maybe I'm blaming technology. I'm just... afraid. Really... afraid.
And about those super productive-adventurous-activities that my generation used to do? Its apparently changed. Slowly. Without me nor any of people from my generation realizing them. What we actually do nowadays are; trying the hardest to be good to everyone. At almost every moment we're not being our real self. We're not exactly the person we used to be, trying to pleasing everyone as hard as we can until sometimes there are people lost their identity, faked their personality because they wan to look good, to be good in the eyes of others. And as a 'payment' we lost our ownselves. Pathetic. But still, that is reality.
Then, we also has been the most unproductive generation by just sitting in front of the computer or laptop or any electronic devices; sign into Tumblr sites, scrolling just to find any posts that can describes their feelings at that time. Why don't you just write a poem or a song to express your feelings better? Also, we always sitting there again, in gront of the computer waiting just for someone who don't actually know that you like 'em, put hopes on 'em, putting all your nerves just because want to type the word 'hello' to them. Come on, if you really like someone go out and tell her/him, not sitting there wait for them to go online and go for some crappy conversation. It will never works in any relationships. Trust me.
People please. Please change,
M. Qarin Al Maduri
